Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has expressed his condolences to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan following a terrorist attack on a passenger train in the southwestern region of the country.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev conveyed his sorrow in a letter, emphasizing the deep impact of the incident, which resulted in numerous casualties.

The letter highlighted Azerbaijan's strong condemnation of terrorism and emphasized the need for decisive action against such acts. President Aliyev assured Prime Minister Sharif of Azerbaijan's solidarity with Pakistan during this challenging time. He extended his personal condolences, as well as those of the Azerbaijani people, to the victims' families and the people of Pakistan, while also wishing a quick recovery to the injured.
