Azerbaijani President Extends Independence Day Greetings to Gambian Counterpart

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of the Gambia, in celebration of the Gambian Independence Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Aliyev expressed warm congratulations on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijani people to President Barrow and the people of the Gambia on their national holiday. President Aliyev emphasized the significance Azerbaijan places on its relations with the Gambia, which are grounded in solid foundations. He highlighted the productive cooperation between the two nations within international organizations such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement.

President Aliyev conveyed his confidence in the continued strengthening of friendly relations and expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Gambia, both bilaterally and multilaterally. He also took the opportunity to extend greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing President Barrow good health, happiness, success, and lasting peace and prosperity for the Gambian people.
