Baku:Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the influential role of the media in shaping public opinion and fostering dialogue. Speaking at the CICA Media Forum, organized by the Media and Broadcasting Council, he highlighted the media's capacity to impact mutual trust and cooperation through its reporting on current events.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev pointed out the challenges posed by disinformation and fake news, especially with the rise of AI technologies, which directly affect public trust. He stressed the increasing importance of media accountability and responsibility as social media and digital platforms continue to grow.

The president underscored that these developments demand higher standards of professionalism and impartiality from media institutions, while also emphasizing the need for a collective sense of responsibility within the information space.
