Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan's steadfastness in reclaiming its occupied territories during a meeting with representatives of the Khojaly district community. He remarked on the nation's success in achieving a complete victory in what he described as a just war, restoring the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty by liberating every inch of land and bringing war criminals to justice.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev detailed the immense pressure and threats faced by Azerbaijan during the occupation. He noted that during this period, signals were repeatedly given to Azerbaijan suggesting that it should accept the reality of the occupation. The President stated that the international community, particularly the patrons of Armenia, believed Azerbaijan would be unable to reclaim its lands or achieve victory on the battlefield.

President Aliyev described the speculation as unfounded and emphasized that no external force could deter Azerbaijan's resolve. He reiterated that, despite the widespread narrative, Azerbaijan remained committed to resolving the issue, either through negotiations or, if necessary, military means. The President highlighted Azerbaijan's repeated declarations from international platforms and during meetings with displaced persons, asserting that the country would not accept the occupation and was prepared to restore its territorial integrity by force, a goal that was ultimately accomplished.
