Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced that the country's efforts to diversify its economy beyond oil and gas have been successful. Speaking at the Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum, he stated that Azerbaijan has worked hard to reduce its dependence on oil and gas, transforming into a nation proud of its economic diversification.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the rapid growth in Azerbaijan's GDP structure over the past 4-5 years. The non-oil industry's share in GDP has increased from 50% to more than 70%, indicating that economic diversification is now a reality for the country.
