ROME — President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has arrived in Rome for a working visit following an invitation from Italian President Sergio Mattarella, marking a significant step in bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were received with full honors at Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport, where a guard of honor was presented to welcome the Azerbaijani head of state. The visit is expected to include discussions on a range of issues, aiming to strengthen the ties between Azerbaijan and Italy across various sectors.
