Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, to extend birthday congratulations. The conversation took place on July 24, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev expressed his well wishes to President Mirziyoyev, hoping for his good health and continued success in his presidential role. President Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude for the attention and congratulations from his Azerbaijani counterpart.

The conversation also highlighted the importance of high-level reciprocal visits in strengthening the relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The leaders reflected on the productive discussions and agreements reached during President Mirziyoyev’s recent state visit to Azerbaijan in early July, as well as his participation in the Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Khankendi.

Both presidents conveyed their confidence in the ongoing development of brotherly, friendly, and allied relations between the two nations across various sectors. They further explored the prospects of future cooperation on the bilateral agenda.
