Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has ratified a readmission agreement with the Republic of Moldova, aiming to manage the return of persons residing without authorization in either country.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the agreement was officially signed in Baku on May 24, 2024. This legislative move by President Aliyev follows the formal approval of the pact between the governments of Azerbaijan and Moldova, enhancing cooperation on immigration and the orderly return of individuals. The President signed the law to affirm the commitment of Azerbaijan in handling readmission in accordance with international standards.
