Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of UAE’s national holiday Independence Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter expresses President Aliyev’s sincere congratulations and best wishes to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the UAE.

In his message, President Aliyev acknowledges the remarkable success achieved by the UAE under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, highlighting the UAE’s development into one of the world’s most accomplished countries. The Azerbaijani leader emphasizes the strong foundation of mutual respect, trust, and support that characterizes Azerbaijan-UAE interstate relations, which are experiencing dynamic growth.

President Aliyev notes the active political dialogue between the two nations and underscores the significance of Sheikh Mohammed’s visits to Azerbaijan this year, re
flecting the high level of fraternal relations. He points out the recent advancements in their bilateral relations, particularly in the energy sector, with a focus on green energy. The effective activities of the UAE’s Masdar company in Azerbaijan’s renewable energy sector are specifically highlighted.

Furthermore, the Azerbaijani President commends the partnership between Azerbaijan’s COP29 Presidency and the UAE’s COP28 Presidency in advancing climate action. He expresses confidence in the continued efforts to strengthen the friendship and reliable partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE, as well as to expand cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally.

President Aliyev concludes his message by wishing Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan robust health, happiness, success in his presidential duties, and for the people of the UAE to enjoy everlasting peace and prosperity.
