Azerbaijani President’s Visits to Liberated Territories Crucial in Information Warfare, Says US Expert

Baku:Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's frequent visits to liberated territories during the 44-day Patriotic War played a significant role in the country's information warfare strategy, according to US military expert John Spencer. His comments were made during the presentation of the book "The War for Karabakh Strategy, Technology and Victory" in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Spencer highlighted that President Aliyev's daily communication and monitoring of the conflict were vital in countering disinformation, particularly on social media. Spencer stated that merely announcing the liberation of territories is insufficient in modern warfare; it is essential to be physically present and demonstrate this to the public.

The expert underscored the importance of President Aliyev's and his wife's visits to the liberated areas, noting that these visits were crucial in achieving success in information warfare. The direct presence in the territories strengthened public perception and combated misinformation effectively.
