Azerbaijani Prime Minister Engages in Strategic Dialogue with CPC Central Committee Member

Baku: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Liu Haixing, a member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions emphasized the strong strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, attributing the progress to the collaborative efforts of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The meeting underscored the positive trajectory of economic, trade, and investment relations between the two nations.

Both parties acknowledged the success of joint projects in the green energy sector and recognized the potential for further cooperation. The dialogue also focused on the consistent development of transport and transit cooperation, highlighting opportunities within the Belt and Road Initiative and the Middle Corridor.

The significance of the Zangezur Corridor's opening was discussed, with both sides agreeing on its importance for enhancing regional transport connectivity and transit capabilities. The development of relations between the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) was also praised, with an emphasis on expanding inter-party cooperation.

The meeting concluded with discussions on future prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between Azerbaijan and China.
