On August 9, a phone conversation has been held between the foreign minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the minister of the foreign affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, the Press Service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.

Top officials discussed the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and the implementation of trilateral statements, as well as the activities of the trilateral working group on the opening of economic and transport ties in the region.

The Ministers also exchanged views on issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda, including cooperation within international organizations and also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
