Azerbaijani Soldier to Remain in Armenia After Border Crossing

Yerevan:An Azerbaijani Army serviceman who crossed the border into the Armenian village of Shaki will remain in Armenia for a certain period, as stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a parliamentary session.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Pashinyan emphasized that all legal procedures must be followed concerning the incident.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that if village resident Ani Avetyan, who was injured during the event, had waited for police officers to arrive, the incident might have been avoided. The situation unfolded when children first noticed the unfamiliar man hiding in a house and informed their mother. Avetyan then contacted the police but decided to go to the location herself, arriving before the authorities.
