TURKISTAN—Azerbaijani special forces have embarked on a multinational joint military exercise, dubbed Eternal Brotherhood – III, in Kazakhstan, as part of a bilateral military cooperation agreement for 2024 with Kazakhstan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exercise, which is taking place at the Orda training range in the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan, involves rigorous training regimes that are part of the ongoing defense collaboration between the Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The initiative aims to enhance the tactical skills and interoperability of the participating forces.

The special forces unit from the Azerbaijan Army will continue their participation in the exercise until September 19. This engagement underscores the strengthened military ties and shared strategic interests between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
