Skopje: Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Haji Karimov has clinched the gold medal at the U20 European Wrestling Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia. Karimov claimed the 70kg title after defeating France's Bayssangour Bitmurzaev 10-0 in the final. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, other Azerbaijani wrestlers also delivered strong performances at the championships. Muhammad Ismayilov in the 57kg category, Bashir Verdiyev in the 65kg category, and Farhad Suleymanli in the 97kg category each secured bronze medals, adding to the nation's success at the event.
