As a part of the official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov met with the Foreign Minister of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son on July 19, 2022, APA reports citing the ministry.

The sides exchanged views on the historical roots of Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations, the current situation, and the further strengthening of relations.

The visits of the founder of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, to Azerbaijan and the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam were recalled. It was noted that these relations had been successfully developed in various fields in modern times.
