Azerbaijan’s ANAMA Releases Data on Demining Activities in Liberated Territories.


BAKU: The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its weekly report on humanitarian demining operations in the territories liberated from occupation.

According to Trend News Agency, a total of 164 anti-personnel and 73 anti-tank mines, along with 7,421 unexploded ordnances, were discovered and neutralized in regions including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan from October 28 through November 3.

Additionally, ANAMA reported that 2,207 hectares of land were cleared of mines during the past week. These efforts are part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing operations, initiated in November 2020, to remove mines, booby traps, and other remnants of weaponry left by illegal Armenian forces following the liberation of its lands.
