Doha:Baku Azerbaijan's National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has announced the discovery of 164 mines and 526 unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the country's recently liberated territories.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the demining operations took place between October 19 and October 25, 2026. During this period, ANAMA detected 122 anti-personnel mines and 42 anti-tank mines, as well as 526 items of UXO.

The agency reported that a total of 997 hectares of land were successfully cleared of these hazardous materials, contributing to the safety and rehabilitation of the liberated regions.
