BAKU: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) has gone up by 0.7 percent in Azerbaijan from January through June 2024, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, prices for non-food products increased by 1 percent, and paid services to the population rose by 2.4 percent.
In June 2024, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous month.
To note, in 2023, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan rose by 8.8 percent compared to the previous year. Prices for food, beverages, and tobacco products increased by 9.6 percent over the year. Non-food products saw an 8.4 percent price increase, while paid services to the population rose by 8.2 percent.
In December 2023, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month and by 2.1 percent compared to December 2022.
