BAKU—Azerbaijan’s artillery units recently completed a rigorous live-fire tactical exercise as part of their 2024 training schedule, according to the Ministry of Defense.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, The Ministry detailed that the exercise involved units moving from their permanent deployment points to designated assembly areas where they executed a series of maneuvers including capturing firing positions and preparing artillery installations for combat. The primary objective of the exercise was to maintain the units’ high-level combat readiness and enhance the military personnel’s operational skills. The exercise also focused on improving the command staff’s ability to effectively control artillery units under various combat scenarios, reinforcing the military’s overall tactical proficiency.
