Azerbaijan’s cash currency market grows by 27%

In 2022 transactions worth $5.1 billion were performed in the Azerbaijani cash currency market.

This is stated in the “Monetary Policy Review” published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The document says that it is up by 27% from 2021.

In the reviewed period 85.7% of cash currency transactions were performed in dollars, and the rest in other foreign currencies.
