Azerbaijan’s Central Bank to launch actuarial development program

BAKU, Azerbaijan, The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), jointly with the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, has launched an actuarial development program aiming at forming a new generation of actuaries in the country with modern knowledge and skills, Trend reports citing CBA.

 

The program is implemented with the support of the Turkish Insurance Institute (TSEV) and local specialists and will last 15 months. Its participants, along with theoretical knowledge, are given the opportunity to practice in the insurance sector.

 

The CBA held a meeting with 90 participants who received the right to participate in the actuarial development program on December 19.

 

During the meeting, the participants were informed about the goals and requirements of the program, as well as give recommendations for successful participation in the program.

 

It was stated that those who successfully completed the program will be given opportunities to continue working in relevant positions in the insurance industry.

 

“CBA continues its large-scale strategic activity aimed at the sustainable development of the insurance sector. One of the projects implemented in this direction is the project on expanding the personnel potential of insurers,” said the CBA.

 

“This project aims at improving the professional knowledge and skills of both employees of insurance companies and those who wish to work in this field. Within the project, training programs are organized at the international level in various professional categories of the insurance sector. The development of the actuarial sphere, which plays an important role in changing the financial stability of insurance companies, is among the priorities of the CBA,” the bank added.
