BAKU—The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan convened another session on Monday, led by Chairperson Mazahir Panahov, to address recent appeals from the snap parliamentary elections held earlier this month.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting commenced with the approval of protocols from previous sessions on September 4 and 5. The focus then shifted to a series of appeals related to the parliamentary elections conducted on September 1, 2024. The session was attended by media representatives and members of international observation missions, ensuring transparency and adherence to democratic processes.
The commission engaged in detailed discussions on the appeals and made several decisions regarding the conduct and results of the elections. In addition to election-related matters, the commission also tackled other current issues pertinent to the electoral process in Azerbaijan.
