Due to environmental pollution during the occupation, according to the Berne Convention, the first interstate claim procedure of Azerbaijan against Armenia has started, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mammadov, APA reports.

The Deputy Minister stressed that this is an arbitration process.

“The next stage we are waiting for is the determination of the arbitrator who will represent that state by Armenia and the formation of the court. Environmental crimes will be evaluated in that court,” said Elnur Mammadov said.
