Azerbaijan’s Cooperation with NATO Discussed at Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Antalya: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Kevin Hamilton, on April 18 during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Minister Bayramov extended his congratulations to Ambassador Hamilton on his recent appointment and expressed his best wishes for Hamilton's forthcoming initiatives. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring prospects for partnership relations between Azerbaijan and NATO. Both parties acknowledged the significance of Azerbaijan's long-term cooperation with NATO, noting the positive outcomes from their joint efforts. The discussion highlighted the strategic importance of the Partnership for Peace programme in fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. The dialogue also touched upon the benefits derived from partnership tools and joint projects, which play a crucial role in shaping future cooperative endeavors between Azerbaijan and NATO. Both sides r ecalled the visit of NATO member states' ambassadors to Azerbaijan in November of the previous year, recognizing the value of such diplomatic exchanges. Minister Bayramov provided insights into the regional dynamics, including the post-conflict normalization process with Armenia and the ongoing restoration efforts in the liberated territories. He emphasized the measures being taken to establish lasting peace in the region.
