Azerbaijan’s Cultural Heritage Celebrated at Berlin Festival

Berlin: Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage was prominently featured at the “Nasreddin – Family Festival,” an event that brought together multiple nations to celebrate their shared histories and traditions. The festival was organized with the collaboration of the embassies of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Tajikistan, all with the support of Zehlendorf Municipality and Germany’s Foreign Ministry.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the festival took place at the Zehlendorf City Hall, where Azerbaijan’s Embassy and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center presented a dedicated stand. This stand provided attendees with detailed insights into Azerbaijan’s history, culture, and national heritage. The festival opened with speeches that highlighted the importance of such events in promoting cultural ties and understanding among the participating nations.

Visitors to the festival had the opportunity to explore various stands representing each country’s cultural herit
age. The event showcased books about Molla Nasreddin in multiple languages and presentations that illuminated the national cultures of the nations involved. Additionally, fun board games were organized for children, adding an interactive element to the festival.

Azerbaijan’s cultural stand was a focal point, where members of the “Kharibulbul” Cultural House engaged with visitors, providing information and answering questions about the country. Traditional Azerbaijani attire was displayed by students from the Cultural House, and the “Rhythm” dance group, led by Said and Aziza Ibrahimli, performed the “Karabakh” dance, captivating the audience.

In recognition of their participation, festival winners received cultural gifts from the embassies of Azerbaijan and other nations. Attendees also enjoyed the opportunity to taste traditional Azerbaijani cuisine, adding a culinary dimension to the cultural experience.
