Negotiations are underway to restore the mausoleum of the great Azerbaijani poet Mahammad Fuzuli in the Iraqi city of Karbala, APA reports.

The Iraqi Minister of Culture will pay a visit to Azerbaijan in the near future, and will be lend clarity to this issue during the visit.

On August 6, Minister of Culture Anar Karimov met with Iraqi Minister of Communications Arkan Shihab Ahmad Al Shaibani, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, to discuss the restoration of the mausoleum of Azerbaijani poet Fuzuli.
