Baku: Next year, the state budget is expected to allocate AZN 8 billion 714.8 million for defense and national security expenditures, it has been reflected in the Ministry of Finance’s “Statement on the initial indicators of the state and consolidated budgets of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026”, APA reports. Thus, the specific weight of defense and national security expenditures in the budget will be 21 percent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, defense and national security expenditures will be AZN 318.5 million, or 3.8 percent more than in 2025.
