Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Evaluates Military Facilities in Georgia

Tbilisi: Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, visited several military facilities in Georgia as part of his official trip. The Ministry of Defense reported to AZERTAC that Hasanov's visit included a comprehensive tour of various military installations in collaboration with key Georgian defense officials.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Colonel General Hasanov was accompanied by Georgia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Irakli Chikovani, and the Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili. Together, they visited the Mukhrovani base of the Special Operations Command, which is named after Major Gela Chedia.

During their visit, the Azerbaijani delegation received a detailed briefing about the military base. The delegation also examined the facilities and conditions at the base, in addition to reviewing a display of weapons and military equipment.
