Baku: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense recently organized a training session for media representatives, as reported by the Ministry to AZERTAC. The session, coordinated by the Media and Public Affairs Department, included participants from the Ministry, the Media Development Agency, and various media outlets.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event began with a tribute to Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, and to the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed to honor these figures.
Colonel Anar Eyvazov, the Chief of the Media and Public Affairs Department and Press Secretary of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense, addressed the attendees. He outlined the Ministry's Communication Strategy and explained the objectives of the training session.
The training provided participants with theoretical insights on topics such as 'Information security and protection of state secrets,' 'Countering disinformation and crisis communication,' 'Army-society relations, promotion of patriotism and public diplomacy,' 'Interaction with the media, public oversight and social responsibility,' and 'Military ethical standards and professional responsibility.'
Following the theoretical sessions, media representatives observed the daily activities of personnel at military units from the Land Forces, Air Force, and Navy. During these visits, the modern weapons and combat equipment used by the military units were demonstrated.
The session concluded with a Q and A segment where media representatives raised their queries. Proposals were heard, and certificates were presented to all participants, marking the end of the training session.
