Baku: Samad Bashirli, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy, met with Dmitry Mariyasin, Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, on the margins of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13). The meeting focused on key areas of collaboration between Azerbaijan and the UN Economic Commission.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of WUF13 and the SPECA Cities Forum, which serves as a regional platform for inter-city partnership and solidarity. Both parties acknowledged the significance of Azerbaijan's contribution to the SPECA Multi Partner Trust Fund and discussed strategies for expanding the fund's activities to further enhance regional cooperation.

The dialogue underscored the need for ongoing development of cooperation within the framework of SPECA, highlighting the potential benefits for regional growth and integration.
