Azerbaijan’s Economic Council Reviews Alat Free Economic Zone Development

Baku: Azerbaijan's Economic Council convened under the leadership of Prime Minister Ali Asadov to deliberate on the advancement of the Alat Free Economic Zone. The meeting's agenda encompassed a thorough examination of the organizational efforts for the economic zone, its essential infrastructure, strategic outlook, and the potential for the service sector to contribute to economic growth. Discussions also included priority areas, proposals, and other pertinent issues.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration, along with Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy, presented reports on the agenda items. Members of the Economic Council, including Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone, engaged in detailed discussions regarding the matters at hand.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of decisions aimed at the enhancement of the tourism sector, with relevant directives issued to the responsible bodies.
