Azerbaijan’s Economic Growth Reaches 1.6% in 11 Months

Baku: Economic growth in Azerbaijan reached 1.6% in the first eleven months of the year, with the country producing a total of 116.32 billion manats in gross domestic product (GDP) compared to the same period last year.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, citing the State Statistical Committee, the added value in the oil and gas sector decreased by 1.8%, while the non-oil and gas sector saw an increase of 3.2%.

The GDP distribution showed that 34% was generated by industry, 10.6% by trade and vehicle repair, 7.2% by transport and warehousing, 6.5% by construction, and 6.4% by agriculture, forestry, and fishing. Accommodation and catering services accounted for 2.8%, information and communication sectors for 1.9%, and other sectors made up 21.1% of the GDP. Net taxes on products and imports constituted 9.5% of the GDP.

The GDP per capita during this period was calculated to be 11,356.4 manats.
