Baku: In January to July 2026, Azerbaijan's economy showed growth with a gross domestic product (GDP) of AZN 76.8177 billion, as reported by the State Statistical Committee.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 1.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The report highlights a decline in the value of the country's oil and gas GDP by 0.6%, bringing it to AZN 22.9165 billion. In contrast, there was a rise in the non-oil and gas GDP, which increased by 2.2% to reach AZN 53.9012 billion.
This shift indicates a growing diversification in Azerbaijan's economic sectors, moving away from its traditional reliance on oil and gas production. The increase in non-oil sectors points to strategic efforts to stabilize the economy by enhancing other areas of production and services.
