Baku: In January-May 2026, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product (GDP) worth AZN 51 billion 783.8 million. The economic output for this period remained unchanged compared to the same timeframe in 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported that in the first five months of the year, value added worth AZN 16 billion 125.4 million was generated in the oil and gas sector. Meanwhile, the non-oil and gas sector contributed AZN 35 billion 658.4 million to the GDP.

A real decline of 1% was recorded in the oil and gas sector, while the non-oil and gas sector experienced growth of 0.4%, highlighting a shift in economic dynamics between the two sectors.
