Azerbaijan’s Emergency Situations Minister Engages in Talks with Malaysian Civil Defence

Kuala lumpur: A delegation from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations, led by Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov, has paid a visit to Malaysia. During this visit, Minister Heydarov engaged in discussions with Mohammad Abidin Abd Rahman, the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting emphasized the growing importance of international cooperation in emergency management, amidst climate change and the increasing intensity of natural disasters and technogenic accidents. Both sides acknowledged the value of exchanging experience in disaster and crisis management and considered the implementation of joint training and professional development programs in emergency response as mutually beneficial.

The discussions were rooted in the framework of cooperation based on friendship and mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Malaysia. Confidence was expressed that this visit and the discussions would encourage further expansion of bilateral relations. A broad exchange of views on issues of mutual interest was also part of the meeting.
