Baku: In January through September 2025, Azerbaijan directed a total of 13,048.1 million manats towards fixed capital investments.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the State Statistical Committee, this marks a 1% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
The data indicates a notable shift in investment focus within the Azerbaijani economy. Investments in the oil and gas sector saw a decrease of 11.5%, whereas the non-oil and gas sector experienced a rise of 7.0%. Of the total investments utilized, 6,647.6 million manats, equivalent to 51.0%, were allocated to production sectors. Meanwhile, 4,298.5 million manats, or 32.9%, were funneled into service sectors, and 2,102.0 million manats, accounting for 16.1%, were devoted to residential building construction.
Furthermore, domestic investments comprised a significant portion of the capital allocation, with 10,057.3 million manats or 77.1% being internally sourced. Additionally, a substantial segment of 10,280.2 million manats, translating to 78.8% of the capital investments, was directly channeled into construction and installation projects.
