Azerbaijan’s FM spoke by phone with the EU High Representative

On October 10, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for foreign and security affairs, Joseph Borel, APA reports citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

The results of the quadrilateral meeting between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during the telephone conversation in Prague and the upcoming issues, as well as the situation in the region, were discussed.

 

High Representative of the European Union Borel informed about the preparations for the mission of the European Union. The EU side highly appreciated the results of the Prague meeting and noted the EU’s commitment to creating peace and stability in the region.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, expressed his expectations of the Prague meeting in terms of contributing to peace in the region. At the same time, he emphasized that the elements of the peace agreement were presented to the Armenian side during the Geneva meeting and that it is important to start work on this and delimitation as soon as possible.

 

During the telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
