Baku: In the first nine months of 2025, Azerbaijan’s foreign economic services turnover amounted to $14 billion. Of this total, $7.7 billion came from services provided by non-residents to Azerbaijani residents, while $6.3 billion came from services provided by Azerbaijani residents to foreign countries.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, transport services accounted for approximately 28.2 percent of the total mutual services turnover. Of these, 66.3 percent, totaling $4 billion, related to the use of Azerbaijani transport services by non-residents. Azerbaijani residents provided transport services worth $2.6 billion to non-residents, while non-residents provided transport services worth $1.4 billion to Azerbaijani residents.
During this period, exports of transport services in the non-oil and gas sector rose by 22.9 percent, while imports decreased by 7.4 percent. As a result, the surplus on transport services increased by 50.2 percent, reaching $1.3 billion, compared to $0.9 billion in the first nine months of 2024.
