Azerbaijan’s Foreign Trade Balance Falls Sharply

Baku: Azerbaijan's foreign trade balance has witnessed a significant decrease, dropping more than three times compared to the previous year. In the period from January to July 2025, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover reached USD 28,841.8 million, marking a 7.3% increase compared to the same timeframe last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Customs Committee reported that exports saw a decline of 5.4%, amounting to USD 15,227 million. On the other hand, imports surged by 26.1%, totaling USD 13,614.8 million. Despite recording a positive trade balance of USD 1,612.2 million, this figure represents a 3.3-fold decrease from the same period last year.
