Baku: Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover reached USD 49.4 billion in 2025, marking a 3.8% increase compared to 2024.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this growth was reported by APA-Economics, which cited the State Customs Committee.
During this period, exports from Azerbaijan decreased by 5.7% to USD 25.04 billion. Conversely, imports saw a significant rise, increasing by 15.8% to USD 24.4 billion. This shift negatively impacted the foreign trade balance, leading to a substantial reduction in the positive foreign trade surplus.
The surplus fell sharply, decreasing 8.3 times year-on-year to USD 663 million. In 2024, the foreign trade surplus was considerably higher at USD 5.5 billion.
