Ganja: The First Green Eco International Forum, commemorating the 103rd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, took place in Ganja. This significant event was initiated by Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU), in collaboration with the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Natural Sciences (MATE).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, participants at the forum paid homage to National Leader Heydar Aliyev by laying flowers at his monument. Prior to the commencement of the forum, attendees had the opportunity to view an exhibition showcasing students' handicrafts and various stands prepared by the university staff. A minute of silence was observed in memory of Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs, followed by the performance of the National Anthem.
In his address at the forum, ADAU Rector Zafar Gurbanov underscored the event's significance, emphasizing the strategic necessity of transitioning to a 'green economy' model in response to challenges such as environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and global food security. He highlighted Azerbaijan's policies, including the 'Clean Environment and Green Growth Country' target as part of "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development."

The event also featured a screening of ADAU's promotional video and continued with panel discussions on various topics such as green concepts in science and education, green agriculture and education, industry, and international partnership.
