Baku: Azerbaijan’s revenues from gas sales are set to see a significant increase this year, as projected by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the IMF has released its forecast regarding the sale price of Azerbaijani gas in Europe, projecting an average annual price increase from last year’s $389 to $517.4 by 2025.

This projection marks an increase of $128.4 or 33% compared to last year’s prices. The anticipated rise is attributed to potential fluctuations in the supply-demand balance in the market, alongside various political and economic factors influencing the sector.

The IMF further predicts that starting from next year, gas prices will begin to decline steadily. By 2026, the price is expected to drop to $424.7, then decrease to $342.2 in 2027. Prices are anticipated to stabilize at $290.2 from 2028 through 2030.
