Baku: In January-February 2026, Azerbaijan's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.3 percent year-on-year, reaching 18 billion 473.1 million manats.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported a decrease in the oil and gas sector's value added by 1.7 percent, while the non-oil and gas sector experienced a rise of 1.4 percent.
The contribution of various sectors to the GDP was significant, with industry making up 32.7 percent of the total GDP. Trade and vehicle repair accounted for 11.4 percent, and the transport and warehousing sector contributed 7.5 percent. The construction sector added 3.9 percent, whereas agriculture, forestry, and fishing constituted 3.2 percent of the GDP. Tourist accommodation and public catering played a role with a 2.8 percent contribution, while the information and communication sector contributed 2.1 percent. Other sectors together accounted for 24.1 percent of the GDP. Net taxes on products and imports made up 12.3 percent of the GDP.
