Baku: In January-February 2026, Azerbaijan's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 18 billion 473.1 million manats, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee. This represents a 0.3 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the oil and gas sector experienced a 1.7 percent decrease in value added, while the non-oil and gas sector saw a 1.4 percent increase. The industry sector contributed 32.7 percent to the GDP, followed by trade and repair of motor vehicles at 11.4 percent. Transport and storage accounted for 7.5 percent, construction for 3.9 percent, and agriculture, forestry, and fishing for 3.2 percent. Tourist accommodation and public catering made up 2.8 percent, and information and communication accounted for 2.1 percent. Other sectors contributed 24.1 percent, while net taxes on products and imports made up 12.3 percent of the GDP.
