BAKU: Azerbaijan’s historical triumph positively impacts intellectual property, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency Kamran Imanov said at the roundtable event themed ‘Intellectual property at the present stage’, Trend reports.

According to him, one branch of intellectual property is creativity, and the other is market activity.

‘We conduct analyzes every year. Our historical triumph also has a positive impact on intellectual property. The analysis shows that 717 copyright certificates were issued in 2022, while in 2023, this figure increased by 20 percent. Besides, 271 applications for inventions were registered in 2022, while in 2023, this figure increased by 11 percent.

Moreover, trademarks also see significant growth,’ he added.

To note, the roundtable is being attended by officials of government bodies in Azerbaijan, MPs, employees of scientific and educational institutions, specialists in this field, and other persons.
