Montreux: Azerbaijan's participation in the prestigious Montreux festival wrapped up with a special jazz program that showcased the nation's rich musical heritage. Following a grand gala concert at the Auditorium Stravinski on September 14, the festival audience was treated to a program dedicated to Azerbaijani jazz art.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the concert featured renowned jazz pianist and composer Isfar Sarabski, who performed alongside his trio, which includes double bass player Makar Novikov and percussionist Amir Bresler. The program highlighted Sarabski's original works such as 'Horses of Garabagh,' 'Around the Thread,' 'BTS (Behind Train Station) Blues,' 'Planet,' and 'G-Man.' Additionally, the trio presented a jazz arrangement of Claude Debussy's classic piece 'Clair de Lune.' The performance of 'Horses of Garabagh' was further enriched by the accompaniment of tar player Shahriyar Imanov.

The concert also featured performances of Azerbaijani music, including Said Rustamov's song 'Hardasan' by Honored Artist Sevda Alakbarzade and the Azerbaijani folk song 'Ay Lachin' performed by Ilkin Dovlatov. Azerbaijan's participation in the Montreux festival concluded with a program that embraced national dance, classical music, mugham, and jazz, leaving a lasting impression on the international audience.
