Lachin: Azerbaijan’s Lachin district has registered three new mineral deposits following its liberation. In the pre-occupation period, Lachin district was home to a total of 39 mineral deposits, encompassing 3 ore and 36 non-ore deposits.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Elchin Majidov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Mineral Raw Material Use Agency under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, shared that after the occupation, three additional mineral deposits have been added to Lachin’s balance. These include one sand-gravel deposit and two construction fill material deposits.
Majidov emphasized that with the liberation, the discovery of these three new mineral deposits further enriches the mineral resources of the Lachin district. The newly registered deposits signify an expansion in the district’s capacity for mineral resource utilization.
