Azerbaijan’s Lachin hosted meeting of Working Group on environmental issues

The Working Group on environmental issues of the Interdepartmental Center, operating under the Coordination Headquarters, held a meeting in Lachin, APA reprots.

 

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev informed about the work done in the direction of restoration of ecology in our territories freed from occupation.

 

Mehman Nabiyev, head of the Ministry’s Ecopolicy Department, informed about the projects implemented in our liberated territories in 2021-2023. He said that another 100 hectares of forest land will be built.

APA reports that Firdovsi Aliyev, deputy minister of ecology and natural resources, opened the meeting with an introductory speech and informed the participants about the work done in the direction of ecological restoration in our territories liberated from the occupation.

 

He said that Azerbaijan is a member of about 20 international conventions:

 

“We have repeatedly appealed to international organizations regarding the damage caused to our ecology in our territories that have been occupied for nearly 30 years. However, no response has been received,” Firdovsi Aliyev added.
