Such placement of landmines without any military necessity continues to claim more human lives and poses a greater threat to the innocent civilian population in Azerbaijan,” the article emphasized.

According to the article, the government of Azerbaijan considers the fight against landmines as one of its national priorities, taking into account that this factor prevents IDPs from returning to their homes.
